Gorgeously gleaming Pyrite crystals from the Huanzala Mine in Peru.
Pyrite named from the Greek word pyr, “fire,” because Pyrite sparks when struck by metal. Pyrite is also known as "fools gold" because its golden hues make similar to real gold.
The gorgeous geometric shaped crystals look to be almost perfect. Pyrite is one of the closest to perfect ninety degree angle discovered in nature. Pyrite can form in extremely well-crystallized examples of cubes, pyritohedrons (12-sided) octahedrons (8-sided).
Associated with increased strength, energy, willpower, and confidence. It's also a wonderful abundance stone, encouraging wealth, prosperity, and success. Pyrite will do well when placed in workspaces, studios, and any space where creative thinking takes place.
